The route was quite simple, one road through gentle woodland to the suburbs then follow the rail way (along which I had one of those perfect cycling moments. The road and rhythm were right, Proud Mary, blaring out from my phone. Must remember though that people can here me when I sing to myself). After that I picked up the main road again following it and its sparkling cycle path almost into town.
After a loop around I needed to find a way across the river. I did eventually, through the brilliant JFK tunnel with its funicular left at either end. Then just a short ride to the site.
Since then I have been to the supermarket and now am relaxing in a cafe with a coffee.
