I thought of that while riding my bicycle.

The Queen Street Conspiracy

Mr Snog, I did you a disservice. Your number plate appears to be a cruel twist of registration fate. You are however rather too heavy on the accelerator.

Today, at the same junction I met - and very nearly became intimately aquatinted with - a man who can only be a pal of yours. I approached and started to cross a crossroads (normal road behaviour I assume) your pal, in his little two seater silver thing, thought the moment of my approach the perfect point at which to commence his right turn.

The brain is a very quick thing. Thoughts that ran through my head included - my light is on isn't it; I can't stop; he is only going slow it wont be too bad; a string of swear words and the like. I swerved he braked. We didn't collide.

My leg hurts from applying the foot brake.

I was a bit shaken. It was a bit too close.

I shall now weigh in on the cycling safety debate: More cyclists please.

Thank you.

\/ the foot brake.
