Packed, unpacked, packed again. Finally accepted that I will need some clothes other than those I stand up in. Decided to break all the rules and take jeans. May well change my mind But they were only a tenner.
Will probably pack again tomorrow. It's the only way to prevent the first day cull. You know, when you actually start cycling and you realise that your bike is far too heavy for any normal human so you ditch a few things. Then of course you rather regret it and sped the next few weeks wishing you hadn't posted your really warm coat home.
I've tried to observe the 40/60 rule. And to pack heavy stuff at the bottom but I'm also trying to pack knowing that I'll have to unload everything in London and reload in paris then unload at the hotel. I'll do proper packing when I set off on Wednesday.
And I guarantee I jettison something.
I'm also curious to know why, with the front panniers an added extra, are all bags full?
