Nordie has been away at the health spa getting the best service money can buy- the Full Bahuna at Greasemonkeys. He has been stripped, oiled and adjusted to within a mm of his little wheels. And now he is running great. He has new racks and gratifyingly no mudguards because the frame bolts / disc brake issues were insurmountable. Even for the pros.
As he is back I've added a few little adjustments of my own: bar bag, second layer of tape. That kind of thing . And I have attached the cleats to my new shoes. Apparently having shoes that fit you is a huge advantage in the cycling world. Far better. (One day I'll tighten things so I can't just wrench my foot out when I feel a fall coming on. But I'm not there yet. Oh no. Not at all. )
So now we are ready to go.
