Charities

As most of you will know, I am using the Jogle to raise money for 2 charities. You can donate online or in person. I thought it might be helpful to tell you a little about why I chose these causes.

Age UK supports older people by offering help and advice as well as funding research. I am lucky to come from a family who can and do support my Grandparents as they get older, but not all older people have others to help them. Simple things like a bit of company, or advice and help filling in a form can make all the difference. Age UK aims to improve later life (as they call it) for everyone by ensuring that older people are treated as equals. Their current campaigns include ending fuel poverty and poor quality care services. Their work supports vulnerable people in the UK and around the world.

Rowanfield school is a primary school in Edinburgh for children with severe social, emotional and behavioural needs. Children at Rowanfield need support to manage their behaviour and take part in school life. The money raised through the jogle will go towards little but vital things such as class outings, bringing visitors to the school or buying arts and crafts materials. Simple things make a huge difference.

Age UK and Rowanfield work hard to support groups that are often marginalised or forgotten.

They need your support so please donate now.

http://www.justgiving.com/Sarah-Douglas0 will send your money directly to AGE UK

You can donate to Rowanfield in person using the sponsor forms or by sending cheques to:

Rowandfield School
