Today we mourn the loss of a unique and perfect bike lock. This lock was light, 5 star rated, flexible and had a combination mechanism. With this lock, never would the loss of keys impede the cyclyst's progress. The lock - difficult to read in its old age, but secure never the less - is suspected to have tumbled to a watery grave whilst travelling towards the famous Rhinefalls. Although the rescue team scoured the paths around the landmark for several hours sadly, no trace was found.
The lock is thought to be irreplaceable as no other example has ever been found. The stand-in lock, purchased at an extortionate fee from a bargain store as it was 'the only one in the whole blinking town' is far less sturdy but, out of necessity, will be used until a more fitting replacement can be found. Any information on similar locks should be forwarded to the author.
