The Happy Cyclist

It's easy as a cyclist, and I suspect as a driver, to recount tales of woe. Red light hopping (bikes and cars - it's not an exclusive sport) failure to indicate and, all manner of overtaking gripes. But, what about those happy stories from on the road?

I cycle to work every day and most of the time I have cause to complain about other road users. But, sometimes there are happy tales. I might chat with another cyclist. I might even see a tourist off on their holidays. There are the times when a driver patiently hangs back, waiting for a bit of space to overtake. Or the times when I hang back give way to a driver and they give a little thank you nod. Acknowledging that not everything should stops for cars. 

I'm not going to stop moaning about the bad stuff but, maybe I should make an effort to celebrate the good.
