I thought of that while riding my bicycle.

Glenmore - not very far

It's rather nice up here. And I have to complement Edinburgh City Council on their half day Fridays. I wizard off as soon as work had finished, reassuring colleagues that I actually enjoy doing this.

The train was busy and bike parking awkward but in the end I arrived in Aviemore by 4.30. I didn't hesitate and hit the road by 4.31.

A ride up hill is fine if you're expecting it. Seeing as I'm camping half way up a mountain, I was. I did have a bit of a think about staying at a site at the bottom of the hill but I'd only been on the road for a few minutes. I thought of regret that decision but I enjoyed the ride. Perhaps the anticipation is worse tag the reality.

I'm glad I pushed on.   I have pitched my tent with a view of the snowy mountains under the shade of some pine trees.
